We use only the highest grade 17/7PH stainless steel.

These are available for frequencies from 70 MHz upwards.

For convenience of stocking, we break down into three ranges:

70 to 100MHz

100 to 200MHz

200MHz upwards.

Whips can be supplied cut for the bottom frequency in each range or cut to order for a frequency within the range.

All whips are normally supplied with a protective plastic tip, and may be either plain ended or fitted with a range of end connections.

Coverage 144-146MHz and 430-440MHz

This British made product is extremely compact, yet highly efficient Dual Band aerial which gives superb results due to expert design.

The excellent performance offered by this aerial has been achieved by careful matching, and good horizontal radiation patterns on both bands.

It has unity gain at 2metres and 3dBd at 70cm.

Don't be put off by the truthful, but apparently meagre claims for gain. Often, aerials claiming higher gain fail to hit the target due to ineffective radiation patterns. Also, bear in mind that many imported American and Oriental aerials quote gain in "dBi" which refers to an "abstract point source in space". When comparing figures given in "dBi" with those in "dBd", remember to subtract 2.7 from the "dBi" figure.

Measuring only 46cm long, this aerial is neat and slim. Made from high quality materials, it is extrememly robust. The whip is top grade stainless steel, and the coil is fully sealed so there is no need to worry about corrosion.

It is normally supplied with a hinge lug to fit our type 503 magnetic mounts.
