Your hand-held scanner is portable. It’s perfectly designed to go where you go. But there may be times when the set-top aerial just isn’t up to the job. The NOMAD is the answer. It is lightweight, fully portable, and rolls up to make a compact unit – perfect for travel – and because it’s an external aerial, there’s less chance of picking up the scanner’s own internal interference.

On the other hand, if you have a home-base scanner, but are unable to rig an outdoor fixed aerial, then again the NOMAD fits the bill. Using the cord provided, suspend the NOMAD from any convenient point, the higher the better: the attic rafters, your hotel curtain rail or a handy tree branch. Wherever you are – at home or on the move – you’ll always be in touch.

The NOMAD comprises a receiving section made from slender ribbon cable which can be folded neatly for travel or storage, and a feeder matching unit housed in a compact plastic tube. It comes ready fitted with 4 metres of high quality co-axial cable and a BNC plug.

Packaged, the whole aerial is less than 25cm (10") long. How’s that for luggage-friendly?
